Say What?! Nightmare On Fremont Street Scary Photos
Ra Ra Riot
You should know about Ra Ra Riot. All six members attended college in Syracuse, New York and formed the band in January of 2006. On the cusp of making a name for themselves, they’ve shared the stage with some well known acts such as Bow Wow Wow and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltstin.
Tragically, the band’s original drummer, John Pike, was found dead, last summer. Somehow, the sextet managed to carry on. They have released a new album, The Rumb Line, and are currently touring.
Catch them on tour and at 2008’s SXSW. The Rhumb Line is available in stores and iTunes now.

Check out Alias, based in Portland, Maine. His full length solo album Resurgam was released this past Tuesday on ANTICON Records. Thanks to our friends at RCRD LBL for giving us the head’s up on this one.
“Well Water Black” is a collaborative effort between Alias and WHY?. Think: dreamy, softly delivered vocals mixed with intelligent lyrics… Truly, a great track for when you want to decompress… moody-but-pleasant.

Check out the set we laid down LIVE at Indie Krush’s last “Say What?!” party at Beauty Bar, Las Vegas. The night was bangin’ and all the beautiful people beat the pulp out of each other as they celebrated our “Pillow Fight Club” theme.
As usual, I kicked off the set and then… Arnauld and I tagged out every 3 tracks. Enjoy!

BARK BARK BARK: Indie Experimental Aural Explosions

Bark Bark Bark, is a multi genre musical project, formed by Jacob A. Cooper, who recently joined the experimental band “The Mae Shi” as their newest addition.
His debut album Haunts was released May 2007. Bark Bark Bark is currently on tour with Yeah Big and Kid Static and his band The Mae Shi.
Look for him to play a packed show Saturday, August 30th at Beauty Bar, Las Vegas for our next “Say What?!” as both a live act and a DJ…
What inspires you as an artist? ” … trying to not give a shit about what people think of what I’m doing MUSICALLY. You don’t need a band all the time, and you definitely don’t need to do things by the rules for the sake of not offending someone.”
Who are your favorite bands and DJs? “Dude, the music in Europe is so much better than the music in the states. Sorry to be a boner about it but I’ve spent a lot of time over there a lot this year with my other band, The Mae Shi… I’ve been listening to a lot lately to: Metronomy, Late of the Pier, Lil’ Wayne, El Guincho, Mr. Oizo, Bumblebeez, and most definitely a bunch of glitch techno that I keep hearing in clubs over there.”
Who throws the best parties in your town? “I sometimes DJ at this night here called Optimist Club…They do it at Club Congress in downtown Tucson…house shows are always fun… Matt Mccoy has a lot of good stuff coming through on his nights. I’m also in LA a bunch now…”
What do you have planned in the future? “I’m taking whatever time I can to rest from touring, working on a new Bark Bark Bark record… touring Europe in November, about to start working on a new Mae Shi record in LA, and hopefully moving to LA full-time very very soon.”
If you had a limitless budget as an artist, what would you create? “Build 12391031 White Castles on the fucking west coast.”

2 commentsCreative Recreation
Your man Arnauld is back! After a brief hiatus I gotta bring the HEAT! Im’a drop the knowledge on you… The illest Shoe Co. in the game right now, and my favorite brand- Creative Recreation.
Creative Recreation is nothing short of amazing. These shoes are always dope, with the sickest colorways. What I like most about this brand, aside from the crazy flavors to chosse from, is: They’re AFFORDABLE. Total “plug and play” with these joints. “CR8 RECS” will make anything your wearing look fresh!!!
Peep some styles below. Creative Recreation also has exclusive colorways for Barneys stores, so try your luck at the new Palazzo/Venetian location on the Las Vegas strip.

2 comments“Oh Snap!” Friday 8/22/08 *Event Fotos*
Alright. It’s that time again… still recovering from my adventures at Indie Krush’s “Oh Snap!” party, last night.
Know Well hooked up the perfect opening indie-electro set… and since we had soooo much fun last week, Arnauld Deuche’ was kind enough to join me for another “tag team” Grimehaus set.
Thanks to all of you f’n animals that continue to show Indie Krush and “Oh Snap!” support, week after week. We heart you and want to carry your babies.
Once again, our talented and lovely Grace did a bangin’ job making sure the beautiful people behaved themselves (somewhat) in the photobooth. As usual, there were quite a few explicit photos that just couldn’t make it on the site. Use your imaginations; you get the idea…
Anyway bitches, here’s your fotos:
Join Indie Krush this Friday, 8/29/08 for the next installment of “Oh Snap!”at the Fruit Loop’s legendary Gipsy nightclub. A little birdy told me that Arnauld Deuche’ and Know Well and special guests are going to be banging out the best music in the Loop.
Be sure to get the magic text blast by texting “girl” to 68938 before Friday afternoon to enjoy OPEN BAR until MIDNITE!
