LeBatman: Visual and Cinematic

LeBatman, also known as Stadtkind, is from Milan, Italy. I was able to get a few words from this dj and he explains his work and LeBatman.
Describe your creations:
- My musical style is mainly influenced by the french house, from 90’s stardust and crydamoure productions, to fred falke recent tunes. Basically I’d like my music to be smooth and groovy, something danceable but listenable in the car as well. I like to sample a lot, I am a music collector, I love almost any kind of musical genre and I think many obscure records should have a second life and a second chance. I like also to include some movie samples sometimes; in my daylife i am a cinemagoer and Filmology student; I’d like my tracks to have some kind of visual/cinematic aspect you know.
In general, I try to do some kind of work on the samples I use by adding some melodies or some basses. I am not so good in composing melodies and using synths. At the same time I dont want to do some cut and paste work. I don’t like producers that cut, sample and sequence without any creative work on that. Even though I probably have done it also sometimes. My music is quite easy and gentle and it’s all about the bass, there is not too much to say!
What shall the world expect next?
- I’ll place my decks all around the world! In my daylife I’ll become a well respected Cinema studies teacher at the Cambridge University. It’s all about decks and movies, movies and decks.

2 commentsThis Is My Empire Interview

This Is My Empire, Las Vegas DJ Duo, part of the Indie Krush Group. Check this interview and new songs.
What software and hardware do you use to make your remixes?
- FL Studio, with the aid of handy dandy Audacity. No real hardware is used, just many vsts.
What DJs and producers do you have the most respect for?
- At this point and time, my respect goes to Noisia. They’re truely a group that can make whatever genre they please, and have it sound AMAZING. Crazy fresh. I used to be into their DnB a lot, and now I can finally use their newer electro stuff.
What animal would you be and which DJ or band would you eat first?
- Giraffe. Justice. Eat their brains, gain their knowledge.
You got a great sense of style. How do you see your style and fashion?
- We love making our DJ sets more than just a set. We like making it a show; something people can enjoy not just for the music, but for the showmanship.

No commentsBass and Treble: “Acid Talk” Mixtape

Listen to our friend from Las Vegas, Bass and Treble. Check it out on November 29th for the monthly Say What!? at The Beauty Bar.
An exerpt from Aram’s myspace on inspiration and Acid Talk: “I live for variety and flavor, feeling good, instant gratification, seeing booties shake, and ear orgasms. For the most part, that’s what dictates what I spin in my sets. I’d say sleep depravation and nicotine play a big role as well.”

2 commentsMichael WoodWard Interview: TILT Crew Rage It

Michael Woodward, DJ d a m a g e !, is a Los Angeles promoter and DJ, who is currently experiencing a lot of success with his new night called TILT. Prior to its 18 and over debut at the Airliner, he did it at Jimmy’s Lounge as 21 and over. Michael shares Indiekrush’s commitment to creating unique events that have themes and providing its attendees with something special instead of cookie cutter events. You can catch TILT in Vegas again during SayWhat?! November 29th!
How did you begin promoting shows?
- I’ve been a DJ for 8-9years now and got into it by looking to do my own shows to highlight my friends my own DJ career and other DJ’s/Artists I knew. It all started when I started up a club at Jimmys Lounge called Homework. A club that fused Graffiti//Street Art//Electro//Indie//Dance music. After running that for a few months I decided to start TILT. An ALL Electro club that focused more on Bigger Acts and the Electro//Bmore//Dance//Booty Sound. A more diverse club that wasn’t afraid to be eclectic in its style. After that it blew up. I love everything that TILT has become. Who knew this would all start just from DJ’n, the love of music and a whole lot of dedication.
Which bands and DJs you have booked for a show are your favorite?
- #1 – The Cool Kids hands down! They know how to rock the crowd proper. From the Indie Kids, Electro Kids, and the Hipsters. Bridging the GAP!
- #2 – PartyShank! Straight from the UK! So Sweet Records brought us Party Sausage (Vocals/Synth/Producer) and Christian Shank (A1 Bassine) Pioneers in the Electro/Bassline scene. They really know how to work those Bass Cabnets and our new system @ The Airliner!
- #3 – Franki Chan! I’ve never seen a DJ bust sooo many exclusive tracks! Hands were in the air durring his whole set! Franki has MAD STEEZ and MAD GAME! We will definately be having him back VERY SOON!
- #4 – Keen House comes HARD with his own style similar to Chromeo but deffinatley he brings a presents that no one can forget. Jumping while playing live synth and beat machines is a MAD SKILL!
- #5 – POLY! I’ve never seen any other act bring sooo much Anolog Equipment in my life! 7 Synths, and 4 beat machines! This live duo came with the MEGAWAVE sound and a HUGE SOUNDSYSTEM! Big Ups to GB & Rikki the Ruckazoid
- #6 – Villians! We had their Hollywood Primier Show and that SH*T was off the hook! Busting live cuts//scratching//and fresh new production. The trio really brought the HEAT! I can never forget the banana costume that was rockin the packed dancefloor! Haahahahahaaa! CLASSIC!
What kind of things do you do to get the word out about your events?
- We hit the streets hard, a ton of word of mouth keeps us hype. We also use going.com so people can get an idea of how many of their friends will be rocking the dancefloor with them. We get a huge response from going.com and Myspace. Feel free to give us some love anytime
What things would you suggest to someone starting as a promoter or wanting to start as a promoter?
- Be in it for the long run. Show dedication. Don’t get in the game if you dont have love for music. Think outside the box and dont be afraid to be yourself.
Which promoters do you have the most respect for?
- INDIEKUSH! Always come eclectic and knows how to throw a party! Showing the Las Vegas peeps how its done proper!
- Franki Chan of IHEARTCOMIX Knows how to build a scene and keep it strong and healthy. Plus one hell of a DJ that always has a great scence of awesome music! Like I said before MAD STEEEZ! and MAD GAME!
- Steve Aoki of DIM MAK Also a founder of the Los Angeles Electro scene. I respect a man who can balance a Clothing Company, Record Label and a growing DJ Career. Keep it coming!

This band, Everybody Else, is my guilty pleasure. I had to put these guys on the site. I used to work with them back in my Militia Group days and still a big fan! With their ever so catchy summery tunes, they can only be an addiction.
