Say What?! Mario Mustache Party Photo Booth

Thank Aaron Garcia for taking these pictures last night and bringing in some extra lighting to give the shots a little some thing extra. From the looks of things, the dance party people had a great time inside with our residents Malachi, Vegas Banger, Grimehaus, & Roccanova – with a special appearance of DJ Colours coming all they way out from LA. For those who spent the bargain basement price of $5.00 to support the bands in the backyard got a special treat from Odd Modern from LA – whose lights were synced with thier keyboards. Food Not Bombs was there spreading the word that we need to help our local community & local artists there helping push the visual cultural movement of Vegas forward. Hope you had a wonderful time and thanks so much for the indie scene support. Next months party is Say What?! Santa’s Hangover December 26th with free Santa hats.

No commentsJessica Chavez This Saturday: Indie Electro Killa Scene Steala
Jessica Chavez, a new Las Vegas electro artist, will be at Say What?! this Saturday with Noel from Indie Krush on drums. Her live show at Cherry a few weeks back was awesome and you can expect the same at Beauty Bar. She should get some of our great local DJ / producers to remix some of her songs to get herself out there – hustle it scene steal it.

No commentsDJ Donna Summer : Nightshifters ZNMA Mix
DJ Donna Summer, Berlin DJ, has a solid wobbly tech house & electro mix that will surely entertain and its worth the time to download – thanks to ZNMA vodka for the scene support. The graphics for the mix album look fantastic, so why does DJ Donna Summer’s myspace look so jacked?

No commentsKill Brand : Jersey Horror & Party Streetwear
Kill Brand, has some great large multi colored prints that look fantastic for whatever scene your coming from. The Kill Brand hooddy with the gold watches inside is brillant for inventiveness in design. Kill Brand was created by musician Jonathan Smith, who used to be in the band Tokyo Rose, where he would vend his clothing line as well. Currently, his brand is in over 400 stores, which you have to give mad props to him for bringing it from the streets to the bank DIY.

No commentsCEPI Fucked From Mixing & Compiling Vol. VII
We have not had a mix up by CEPI in a while and looking from the track listing it is exactly what I ordered for Thanksgiving dinner – Yum bounce back and forth to the sticky beat kind of stuff. Checking out his myspace party flyers and remixes, he is coming up if he sticks with the game.

1 commentAfghan Raiders Electronic Press Kit Video
Afghan Raiders “Afraid” EPK Promo Video from Afghan Raiders on Vimeo.
Afghan Raiders created this electronic press kit video to help promote themselves to promoters and talent buyers so they understand what they are about. This video does not break any grounds, but communicates the message that this band is high energy and all about audience interaction. From a music industry standpoint, I would have integrated the upcoming opening for MUSE Hard Rock show footage to create a “Holy Shit” reaction in talent buyers – probably something they will add into this video latter. It is still a long road ahead, but they are on their way. Go Dim Mak or Iheartcomix friends.
